What we are not
To repeat what’s on every page: we are not Sunlight Financial. We don’t service your loan, take payments, or have access to your account. For Sunlight Financial customer service, contact Sunlight Financial directly through your loan documents or installer. If you’re looking for the lender’s help line, check the welcome packet or call your installer — they handle Tier-1 support before escalating to the capital provider.
What to include in your message
To help us respond faster, please include the page URL you’re referencing (especially for corrections), the specific claim or figure you want us to look at, and any source you’re comparing against. For story tips, a short description and the timeframe is enough — we’ll follow up with questions. For partnership inquiries, tell us your role, the organization, and what kind of collaboration you have in mind.
When you’ll hear back
Editorial corrections: usually within one business day if the fix is straightforward. Complex corrections that require us to re-verify a source take two to four business days. Story tips: we acknowledge receipt within two business days; whether we pursue the story depends on what we can independently verify. Partnership and general inquiries: two business days for an initial reply, longer if a decision involves multiple people.
Privacy of correspondence
Email you send to us is reviewed only by the editorial desk. We do not share your address with installers, lenders, or marketing partners.
